Jason has always felt most at home when moving—whether in the ocean, the mountains, or on the field. Growing up in South Africa, he spent his days surfing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors, fostering a deep connection to nature that remains a cornerstone of his life.
His passion for movement led him to competitive sports from an early age. Jason played cricket at a provincial level and represented South Africa on the U19 and U21 national hockey teams. In parallel, his love for motocross fueled a nine-year racing journey, where he developed resilience, focus, and the mental toughness required to overcome challenges. Motocross, in particular, taught him the importance of understanding the body’s limits and pushing through them with determination.
Jason’s love for coaching began during his years as a club-level hockey coach, where he discovered the joy of helping others unlock their potential and build confidence in their abilities. Whether working with athletes or beginners, he finds fulfillment in guiding people through movement, helping them build strength and develop a deeper connection to their bodies.
As a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Jason combines his diverse athletic background with a holistic approach to fitness. His personal practices—yoga and breathwork—have profoundly shaped his life, teaching him balance, stillness, and mindfulness even in life’s most intense moments. These tools inform his coaching, enabling him to help clients move with greater purpose, awareness, and intention.
For Jason, movement is far more than physical exercise; it’s a way to connect with yourself, your body, and the world around you. Whether through sport, outdoor adventures, or mindful movement practices, he believes in meeting people where they are and empowering them to grow stronger, more resilient, and fully present in their lives.
